Wikipedia describes it as “comparable to the London Fire” (though smaller in size)… 16,000 people lost their homes… A nation is built on PROMISES. kept. The story is a tribute to Mr Lee Kuan Yew, first Prime Minister of Singapore and all those who sacrificed to make Singapore what she is today.
The story was first screened at the Havelock View Community Party cum Tree Planting Day on 4 November 2012. Guest of Honour: Mr Lee Kuan Yew. It was later posted on PAP’s Facebook when he passed away in March 2015. The story garnered more than a quarter million hits and created conversations around the them of promises.
